About 3 weeks ago I mailed them my Etymotic hf2 headphones for warranty repair. They had some cabling problems close to the plug making one channel failing entirely after one year of use.

Inside the package I found a brand new pair with original wrapping and all the accessories. It seems to be cheaper to exchange them for new ones instead spending time to fix them. Nice one for me.

First thing I’ve noticed was a different plug. It seems I wasn’t the only one who had the problem and they have a new revision on the market.

Below are photos of the old and new plugs. The new one look much more solid to me.

Etymotic hf2 old plug

Etymotic hf2 new plug
